*I know this is practically a retro review at this point but I'm still working on rebuilding the site so shut up.
I’ve never really been one to sympathize with the money-grubbing film studios who brush their teeth with baby blood while its executives sue us peasants for hundreds of thousands of dollars because we pirate $10 copies of movies once in awhile that mean they can only afford to buy their 16-year-old brat kids two Mercedes instead of three. However, I do give credit where it’s properly due and I’d like to tip my hat to MGM for releasing Skyfall, the year’s most anticipated film after The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, Prometheus…well okay so it hasn’t been that anticipated but at least it had the common decency to come out at a time in the year where the theaters are usually riddled with boring Oscar bait bullshit like Lincoln and Cloud Atlas so we have something to go to that won’t end up serving as overpriced naps.
